Rental conditions for caravan

Hirer / driver:
Hirer must be over 23 years old and have valid license.

Booking:
At booking the hirer must sign a rental agreement, and pay the deposit as confirmation of the booking.

Delivery / return of the caravan:
Most delivery / returns is on Mondays and Fridays. Delivery to the customer is between 13.00 and 16.00 hours. Return is between 08.00 and 10.00 hours. Unannounced late delivery is charged with ¼ of a days rent per hour. The caravan must be cleaned inside and outside. The toilet and waste water tank must be emptied. Use of propane gas will be measured.

Hirers responsibility:
The caravan is checked before the rent period. During the rent period, the hirer is responsible for making sure that the caravan function due to the normal driving requirements. If errors occur, the rental company must immediately be contacted, before measures are taken to fix the problem.
We expect the customer to use the caravan with caution, to make the trip successful.
The caravans are smoke free. No smoking allowed.

Cancelling the order:
If the order is cancelled, there is a fee of NOK 1800,- that will be deducted from the deposit. If the order is cancelled less than 30 days before the rent period starts, the fee is 50% of the rent, if we can not find a new hirer.

Breakdown / crash:
The rental company does not compensate for lost vacation time due to a breakdown or severe damage of the reserved caravan. The deposit and rent will be fully returned if we can not find a caravan to replace the damaged caravan. If damage or errors occur during the rent period, the hirer will be compensated for the amount of days it takes to repair the damage. There is no compensation for delay less than 12 hours, due to repair of the caravan. If the damage is caused by the hirer, no compensation will be given.

Insurance:
The rent include comprehensive insurance. Personal liability insurance follows the car. If hirer causes damage that is covered by the comprehensive insurance, the hirer must pay a owners share of NOK 4000,- per damage. The deposit can be used to cover this. In the case of robbery or theft from the caravan, the insurance only covers equipment that belongs to the camper. Customers are advised to have their own travel insurance.

IMPORTANT: If damage occur, damage report must be filled out.

Payment:
Rent and deposit must be paid before the rent period starts.

Deposit:
Deposit of NOK 5000,- is paid at booking. If the caravan is returned at the agreed time, cleaned and without damage, the deposit is returned in full. The deposit is transferred to the customer’s bank account if nothing else is arranged. Extra use of propane gas and smaller damage is deducted from the deposit .

Handling fee:
Lump sum of NOK 900,- that comes in addition to the rent.

Extra equipment for rent:

• Kitchen tools, pots and pans for 4-6 people: NOK 250.-
• Bedlinen and towels, per person: NOK 290.-,
• Camping table: NOK 70.-
• camping chair: NOK 50.- ( up to two weeks rent)
• 14” TV: NOK 550.- per week.
• Awning / tent: NOK 650,- per week.

Cleaning / emptying:
If the rental company shall clean the caravan after the rent period, this must be arranged befor the rent period starts. Outside cleaning, NOK 475,-, inside cleaning, NOK 675,-. Cleaning of kitchen tools, NOK 200,-, emptying waste water / toilet, NOK 825,-.
